What's new at Escapestamp

See what’s happening across Escapestamp in one place. Recent Activity shows new stamps, catalogue additions, new collectors, and product updates.

Grouped room and venue updates can be expanded to see the full list, with links to the relevant catalogue pages. You can also choose Stay on the current page in your preferences to keep adding stamps without being redirected to your passport or shown the stamp animation.

Activity entries now have clearer layouts, better stamp artwork presentation, and direct links to related content. Activity tracking avoids duplicate entries, stamp and passport displays are more consistent, and artwork uploads now clearly enforce a 4 MB maximum.

Venue suggestions no longer interrupt the flow when adding a room, so you can complete your room submission.

You can now sign in to Escapestamp using your Google or Facebook account, making access quicker and more convenient.

You can now select Canada when adding or editing a venue.

Stamp style properties now use shared styling, keeping stamp previews more consistent across the app.

New stamps now start with a neutral default color, so the editor preview is ready immediately.

The stamp editor checks color contrast and suggests darker compliant shades when a color may be difficult to read.

Set your preferences for the played-at flow, search settings, and sharing. Choose how dates behave when adding stamps, hide stamps you have already collected, and decide whether you want a share prompt after adding a stamp.

Click your profile icon (top right), click Manage account, click Preferences (left sidebar or left top three stripes).

Find rooms within 25 km of your location with the new Near you filter.

You can add a stamp without knowing the date you played the room, then add the date later if you want to.

Stamp sizing and room-name layouts now adapt more cleanly across passport views and shared Instagram formats, making long room names easier to read on smaller screens.

Venue pages now show whether a listing is claimed by an organization. Organization-claimed venues can keep their details up to date through Escapestamp, while unclaimed listings remain available for collectors.

Stamp artwork now loads using a smaller, purpose-sized mask image, helping stamp views feel lighter without changing how the artwork looks.

Country labels now display as readable names throughout stamp search, catalogue details, passport entries, and shared stamp locations.

The mobile menu now closes after you navigate to a new page, making it easier to continue browsing on smaller screens. (Reported by Tamara Love)

We reworked permissions across stamp management and organization views, so people see the tools they are allowed to use.

Stamp editing now uses a review queue, quick picks, and temporary locks to keep concurrent changes from getting in each other’s way.

Search results are easier to explore: when you search for a venue, you’ll see all of its rooms, including rooms whose names don’t match your search. Search also understands alternative room and venue names more reliably.

The refreshed navigation groups related sections more clearly on desktop and provides a fuller menu experience on mobile, with account actions and key shortcuts close at hand. Its new structure also gives Escapestamp a stronger foundation for adding future routes and features.

Passport profiles are now created more reliably during sign-up, so your passport is available when you first start collecting.

We created a staff-only artwork dashboard because the stamp catalogue is growing faster than each illustration can be made. It shows which missing artworks appear in the most passports, so the team can focus on the stamps with the greatest collector impact first. That means more of the stamps you have already collected receive finished artwork sooner, while helping us use limited illustration time where it improves the most passport entries.

The updated artwork workflow keeps new stamp illustrations clear, focused and recognisable at the small size shown in passports.

When a room is not yet in the catalogue, you can submit it without losing your progress. A placeholder stamp now appears in your passport while we review the room, so you have clear confirmation that it was added.

Thank you to everyone who submitted rooms that were missing from the catalogue. After review, 18 new rooms are now available to add to your passport.

Public passport profiles now use /passports/:handle. Existing /passport/:handle links permanently redirect to the new canonical URL, preserving shared links and bookmarks.

Passport pages now provide dedicated Open Graph images, giving shared links a clearer, more recognizable preview.

Venue owners can now add alternative names to help players find their venue. For example, Mama Bazooka can include “Mamma Bazooka” as an alternative name, so both searches return the right results.

We’ve reviewed and processed around 70 room/venue submissions from yesterday. Thank you for helping grow the catalogue.

Search now checks room names, venue names, and alternative names, making it easier to find the right room.

The add-room flow now checks for similar rooms and venues first. When a match exists, players can select it and add it to their passport instead of creating a duplicate request for review.
